SPX 2013 was my all-time favorite convention and I’m really excited to be going again because I know to expect beautifully crafted independent comic in all shapes and sizes. I won’t be selling anything there this year but will instead be mobile and stupefied, absorbing all the beauty, as pictured above. Look for that dumb face, that’ll be me.
If you’re also visiting SPX 2014, check out the tables of my local RVA friends/heroes Chris Visions, Cathryn Hutton, Chris Kindred, Richie Pope and Tres Dean; They’ve got the glow.
Have a great experience everyone!
Pinup of Rosetta Rockwell, “The one who brought rock to the schoolhouse door.”
My submission to the “MONSTROUS OPTIMISM Poster Show Benefit!" for Kerry Talbot’s family. Kerry P. Talbot was a former teacher of mine and his passing last year hit the local Richmond artist community hard. He taught me the foundations of character creation which I put into practice every time I pick up a pen. I’ve never drawn a robot before but I know they were close to Kerry’s heart so I figured I’d knuckle down and go for it.
I’ve learned that robots are extremely fun to illustrate with the added bonus of figuring out how all their gears work.
Thank you always Kerry.

"Rosetta Rockwell & the Babe".
Original characters I created in the spring of last year for the simple purpose of looking dope together that have since expanded into their own individual stories and mythology. I’m especially excited to reveal Rosetta’s myth, only after I make progress on “Bonyenne” anyhow.
Bartkira Couch Gag. I wanted to make a gif representative of the whole pursuit and so I felt this particular scene was most appropriate. For a moment I was planning on having him slide in on the couch but the temptation of drawing the bike was tooo strong.
Lord Tywin, he wore no crown yet died on a throne. A tribute sketch to the great schemer and his skinning of the stag.
Happy Belated Father’s Day.

Back in February I had the brief opportunity to work with Titmouse Inc on this charming scatological animated series, King Star King. All six episodes are finally online for your viewing pleazuuure if you dare. It is important to prepare yourself and be aware of your surroundings as it may incite disgust, rage, upchuck &/or mud butt. 100% NSFW certified as it features busloads of obscenely large hooters and fictional drugs. Most importantly, it was a blast to work on and a great experience. Stay Classy!
A continuation of my gif portraits. This one, however, was solely my wife’s killer idea.
